Great Lakes Equipment Sales, Inc. Takes Delivery of Initial Order

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – March 13, 2015 – Progress Tank, a leading manufacturer and upfitter of truck-mounted tanks used for hauling refined fuel, heating oil, liquid waste, and propane in North America and part of Wabash National Corporation (NYSE: WNC), today announced the addition of the ASME 407/412 carbon steel front hoist and full-open rear door to its vacuum tank product line.

The carbon steel front hoist and full-open rear door, originally developed for Great Lakes Equipment Sales, Inc. in late 2014, was on display at the Water & Wastewater Equipment, Treatment & Transport (WWETT) Show Feb. 17–20.

“We’ve been building aluminum and stainless steel lift door equipment for several years. With the addition of the carbon steel lift door, Progress Tank is able to meet customers’ every need. Equipment is available in ASME, non-code, DOT and TC,” said Matt Decker, business development manager, Progress Tank.

Progress Tank lift door units are built with a specialized corrugated baffle that not only allows for superior product control during transporting but also maximizes solids off-loading capability. The carbon steel front hoist and full-open rear door, used in the environmental and industrial services markets, also includes a dual piston and hinge feature for added durability; a combination of stainless steel and carbon in rear door construction to maximize seal integrity; aluminum trays for corrosion resistance and weight reduction; high mount tail lights for better visibility; and an automatic shut-down system.

“We’ve enjoyed working with Progress Tank for 10 years. Their dedication to quality and service, and their willingness to build custom units, makes them a good fit for us and our customers,” said Jeff Rodgers, owner of Great Lakes Equipment Sales. “We have sold three carbon steel units since fall 2014, and have eight more on order with Progress Tank, with the expectation to continue ordering about four units each month in the near term.”

Since 1922, Progress Tank has been able to stay a step ahead of the industry by developing new products and providing best-in-class service and support through a highly qualified and trained distribution network. Its 2012 acquisition by Wabash National Corporation strengthens its longstanding reputation for premier customer service, quality and manufacturing excellence.
